Dear PV Families,
I want to thank you all for your incredible support of our school during this year’s Walkathon fundraiser — we made our goal!!! Yay!!! 🎉
Thanks to our amazing PTO and generous families, all grade-level budgets will be fully funded, and the entire PV community will enjoy a free skate night on January 2nd at the South Windsor Arena!
Our Walkathon took place during recess today, and our students had a blast enjoying games, raffles, and prizes. None of this would have been possible without your generosity — we are truly grateful! 💙
A special thank-you goes out to Lindsay Ruszczyk, the PTO Executive Board, the Walkathon Committee, and all of the volunteers who helped make today such a success. Lindsay, your intentional planning, creative rewards, and motivating incentives — like naming the school and the possibility of renting the SW Arena if we reached our goal (we got it!)— truly inspired our students. Thank you for your leadership and enthusiasm!
Enjoy the pics below.
To all our students who made those phone calls to grandparents, texted their aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors to support PV — thank you! Your effort and school spirit made a real difference. P.S. The portal is open until October 15th, so it’s not too late to donate!

🌅 As the sun sets on our Walkathon, a new challenge begins!
We’re excited to announce the launch of our in-school Readathon — because as we all know, reading is incredibly important! To encourage our students to read, we’ll be engaging in a Readathon filled with raffles for prizes of books, books, and more books! 📚✨
It’s only fitting that our Readathon kicks off alongside our Fall Book Fair, giving students even more opportunities to get excited about reading and discover new stories to enjoy.

Our next PTO event is the Book Fair, which will take place in the PV Library from Tuesday through Friday. The week will conclude with our Family Night Ice Cream Social on Friday evening — a fun way for families to browse together and enjoy a sweet treat! 🍦📚

Kindly take a few moments to read the newsletter in its entirety for upcoming events such as Picture Day, the Sunday Hike, Instrumental Night, STEM Night, Coffee and Conversations with the Principal, Unity Day, Trunk or Treat, and more.

Finally, a reminder that there is no school on Monday in celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Enjoy the extra day off, and we’ll see everyone back at PV on Tuesday!

Graciously,
Esther & Jenna
