Hello PV Families,
I hope you all had a great week. I’d like to open today’s newsletter by celebrating the incredible generosity of our community. With just one week’s notice, we collected an impressive amount of canned goods and supplies to support those in need. It truly is more blessed to give than to receive, and I am deeply grateful for your kindness and willingness to give back. See photos below.
Our PTO-sponsored BINGO Night was a huge success! I’d like to express my gratitude to Lindsay Ruszczyk, her committee, and all of the volunteers. There were so many prizes, and it was a night of fun and big wins, raising over $6,000. To all our sponsors — thank you! PV staff and students are truly grateful. Thank you as well to the PV staff members who spent their Friday evening selling tickets, calling out numbers, and helping in many ways.
This was the first week of Parent-Teacher Conferences, and we are off to a great start. If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late — please reach out to your child’s teacher. The home-school connection, support, and collaboration are vital parts of our students’ success.
Lost and Found
We will have Lost and Found items displayed on a table by the main entrance next to the library every ERW through the end of conferences. Remaining items will be donated on December 19th. See photos below.
Core Value Highlight: Respect
Our core value this month is RESPECT. Please reinforce with your child(ren) the importance of treating others kindly, using respectful language, keeping hands and feet to themselves, following expectations, and avoiding unexpected behaviors.
December Dress-Up Tradition
We will continue our tradition of dressing up throughout December. Students may choose to participate once a week or every day — the choice is yours. Please see the attached flyer for details.
Cold Weather Reminder
As we move fully into fall and head toward winter, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. We go outside daily unless the temperature is 20 degrees or below. Snow boots, hats, gloves, and scarves are needed on snowy or cold days. See photos.
As we celebrate generosity and perseverance this week, I also want to extend a huge congratulations to Mrs. Kardos, who successfully completed the Every Woman Marathon in Scottsdale, Arizona — an achievement I highlighted in last week’s newsletter. Please enjoy the photos below!
In that same spirit of strength and determination, I encourage our PV families to come out and support our Girls on the Run team at their Practice 5K this Saturday, November 22nd, right here at PV. Your cheers and encouragement mean so much to our runners, and we truly appreciate your support! Hope to see you on Saturday, otherwise have a great weekend!
PS. Wednesday Nov 26th is District Early Dismissal.
Graciously,
Esther & Jenna
