Hello PV Families,
Our Preschoolers were able to step outside and experience the first snow of the season. See the snow photos below! Check out additional photos of our December dress-up days.
Core Value & Safety
Our core value focus this month is SAFETY. Please reinforce the expectations that we ought to:
  • Keep hands and feet to ourselves.
  • Show self-control in your body, your words, and your actions.
  • Make choices that will lead to positive outcomes.
Snow is here! A gentle reminder to have students come to school properly dressed for recess. Only students with snow gear will be allowed to play in the snow to ensure safety.

Our annual Holiday Fair gives K–5 students the chance to purchase affordable gifts for their families. This year’s fair will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, during the school day. A shopping list will be sent home to help students plan. The event is cash only, and each class will shop during assigned times. A PTO table will also be available for students who need support, using “Panther Payment” to select gifts for loved ones.
We’re still looking for volunteers—please visit the PTBoard sign-up if you’d like to help!

Sign-up for PV Skate Night! Less than 20 student-skater slots remain!

PV PTO is hosting PV Skate Night on Friday, January 2 from 4-6pm at South Windsor Arenda (585 John Fitch Boulevard). Bring your own skates or rent a pair for free. Hot cocoa will be provided. The cost of the event is covered by PV PTO thanks to the amazing response from families during the PV Walkathon!

To ensure we can accommodate as many PV students as possible, we kindly ask that only PV students be on the ice (unless a parent is needed to assist). If space allows, parents and non-PV siblings are welcome to join in.

Attention 5th grade parents!

5th grade parents are reminded to send in 1 baby photo (ideally age 9months-3 years) of their child to be included on the Guess Who page of the yearbook. Please send to PV5thgradecommittee@gmail.com

Although 5th graders receive their yearbook at the end of the school year, the yearbook committee must assemble a majority of the yearbook between December 11-January 31 so the sooner you share, the better. Thank you in advance!
Questions on any of these events can be sent to PTO@PVPTO.org.
