Dear PV Families,
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Our first hybrid PTO meeting was small but mighty—and as the saying goes, we don’t despise humble beginnings! A heartfelt thank-you to the parents who joined us both in person and virtually.P.S. We are currently recruiting for our future PTO President, Vice President, and Secretary. We would love for you to consider getting involved!

We are excited to welcome our Superintendent as she continues the tradition of reading Owl Moon to our first graders this Wednesday.

On February 20, we will also welcome award-winning author Candid Taylor for grades K–2, as well as our districtwide K–5 featured author and illustrator, Juana Martinez-Neal on March 2nd. Please be on the lookout for messages from classroom teachers with information on how to purchase and secure an autographed copy of their books.

Our first-ever Cultural Day and Global Games is scheduled for March 12th. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to share their heritage and for families to join us by facilitating classroom sessions, hosting gallery walks, or running games in the gym or on our fields. We are incredibly excited—but we can’t do this without you! Please scan the QR codes on the flyers below to sign up. All are welcome.

Our Grade 5 concert will take place on March 5 at 7:00 PM. We also want to thank all the families who contributed to the 5th Grade Council’s "Souper" Bowl fundraiser. PV has spoken—we’re calling it for the Patriots!
Finally, Monday marks the 100th day of school—let’s get creative! Please remember that Winter Break runs from February 13 through February 16.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Graciously,
Esther &Jenna

PV’s Library Shelves are Filling UP

Dear Families,

Our Library Rescue Mission is officially in motion! There are only 272 OVERDUE stragglers to get back to school on Monday. Students are definitely learning the power of being a responsible patron—including the "superpower" of renewing books before they’re late. Once the overdue books are back home, we’re shifting gears to a full-scale "Missing Books February."

Cheers,
Heather
