Dear PV Families,

Another exciting week of learning and state testing has wrapped up at PV! Next week, our Grade 5 students will participate in the NGSS Science Assessment, while students in Grades 3–5 will complete any remaining state assessment makeups. Students in Grades K–2 will begin their benchmark assessments in Reading and Mathematics as we continue celebrating the growth and progress of all our learners.

Due to rainy weather at the end of this week, Bike Week activities will continue into next week. A special thank you to our incredible volunteers for helping make this experience safe, fun, and successful for our students.

We are also excited to welcome our first cohort of incoming kindergarten students and families during K visits on Wednesday afternoon. We look forward to introducing our class of 2039 learners to the PV community!

On behalf of the entire staff, thank you to our families and PTO for the thoughtful gestures, treats, and kindness shown during Staff Appreciation Week. Your continued partnership, generosity, and support mean so much to us, and we are truly grateful.

We would like to celebrate Mishka Gujarathi, recipient of the Superintendent’s Award. Mishka and her family were honored this past week alongside other student award recipients from across the district. We are incredibly proud of you, Mishka, and all that you represent at PV!

We also want to congratulate our Girls on the Run participants and coaches on another successful season, which concluded with their celebratory run last Friday. We are so proud of the confidence, perseverance, teamwork, and dedication demonstrated throughout the season.

A special shout-out goes to Lisa DiCioccio for another successful year of chick and duck hatching, as well as for organizing the first publishing celebration alongside our first-grade teachers. These experiences create meaningful and memorable learning opportunities for our students.

Thank you as well to Ms. Jackson’s mom’s organization for visiting PV with the Book Mobile and giving our kindergarten students an opportunity to shop for books for free. We are grateful for this generous partnership and experience for our students.

As we begin preparing for the close of another wonderful school year, we have many exciting events ahead, including Grade 5 celebrations, field trips, Field Day, Fly-Up Day, assemblies, and our Moving Up Ceremony. Please see the attached flyer for important end-of-year dates and events including details about field day.

Please click this link to access more details about the upcoming events. Grade 5 families, please look out for a detailed flyer from your child’s teacher.

Lastly, with the beautiful weather ahead, we encourage families to participate in the PV Hiking Challenge this weekend. Please see the flyer below for more details.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
