Pleasant Valley Newsletter, June 19, 2026, with a sunny sky and 'Happy Summer!' message.

Dear PV Families,

As we conclude another incredible school year, we want to thank you for your partnership and support. This year was filled with so many moments of learning, exploration, trying new things, and challenging ourselves and each other.
Whether it was our daily classroom routines, field trips that expanded our horizons, or special community events like Cultural Day, Math Night, Book Fairs, PV Portraits, Music & Instrumental Concerts, and Publishing Author Celebrations—you were an integral part of our students' learning and growth. We extend our most sincere gratitude to you. On behalf of our 150+ staff members and 800+ students, I simply want to say thank you.
Included in this newsletter are video snippets of our final end-of-year assembly and the celebratory "final clap" for our PV Class of 2026! We also want to give a huge, special shout-out to our 5th Grade Student Council and our 5th Grade Peer Mediators for their hard work and leadership all year long—which we celebrated with a fun pancake party—and congratulate our PV PTO Scholarship Recipients.
We wish you all a safe, restful, and wonderful summer vacation!

Graciously,

End of Year Assembly

We had a fabulous end of year assembly that celebrated all our students and all they accomplished this year. We sang the Star Spangled Banner and 500 Miles as a school. We had a song done in sign language by the 5th grade and a dance to Golden by our faculty and staff.

Our Tamil Bilingual Students

Our Tamil bilingual students successfully completed 30 months and earned their bilingual certificates! Watching them navigate both the languages has been greatly rewarding and they have worked hard to reach this milestone. They have been the cultural connection for their families and the success of our language programs. We are so proud of their achievement.

Summer Math Activities

Whether you relax, explore or seek adventure over the summer, we encourage you to continue to see math in the world around you. While there is no specific required math work over the summer for students entering kindergarten through 5th grade, we have created playful activities for students to review what they learned in math with their teacher this past school year. These are optional activities. Each includes things that may be done with family and friends. Just a few minutes thinking and talking about math every day will help keep math skills sharp!

Grade Level Activity Calendars

Grade level calendars of activities are provided for students based on the grade they will enter in the fall. These activities are intended to complement the content and skills for math classes. Print off a copy of the July and August calendars included on our math summer curriculum activities page, check off the activities you complete, and bring in the calendars to share with your teacher in the fall. Each attachment also includes book titles and websites that you can visit to play math games or practice mathematical concepts.
