💙💛 PV Family Newsletter 💛💙

Dear PV Families,

This year, our students will be learning about and practicing South Windsor Public School's four important Portrait of a Graduate attributes: Engaged, Socially Conscious, Empowered, and Resilient. These attributes describe the skills and characteristics we hope to nurture in every student as they grow as learners and as members of our school community.
During September and October, our focus will be on what it means to be Engaged. Through our morning announcements, students will explore what it looks like to be curious and ready to learn, actively participate, stay focused, take ownership of their learning, use their voice, and make a difference in their classroom, school, and community.
Throughout these two months, we will also be looking for “Engagement in Action” and celebrating students who demonstrate what it means to be an engaged learner. Families can help reinforce this learning at home by asking questions such as, “How were you engaged in your learning today?” or “What did you do today that showed you were curious, involved, or taking ownership?”
We look forward to celebrating our students as they grow into the engaged, socially conscious, empowered, and resilient graduates we know they can become!

Graciously,
Esther & Jenna
