🏫 Welcome Walkthrough
On Wednesday, October 28, Pleasant Valley will host our schoolwide Welcome Walkthrough. Teams representing our School Climate Committee, PTO, and parent community will visit and provide feedback on four key areas:
  1. Physical Environment
  2. Schoolwide Practices and Policies
  3. School Culture and Climate
  4. Home-School Communication
This important opportunity will help us celebrate our strengths, identify areas for growth, and continue creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every student and family experiences a genuine sense of belonging.

Want to make an even bigger impact? Families and staff are invited to make a monetary donation to support our school's breast cancer fundraiser. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference! Just bring in your donation to your homeroom teacher, and they will do the rest!

And don't forget! The Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk is happening this Sunday, October 25th, in Hartford! There's still time to sign up and join the movement! Register Here

Portrait of a Graduate: Engaged Student Spotlight Recipients

This week, our Panthers continued exploring what it means to be an Engaged student! We learned that engagement isn't just about our own learning; it can also mean working together, sharing responsibilities, and cheering one another on. When classmates help each other, everyone can feel supported and proud of what the group accomplishes. Sometimes, a kind word or a helping hand can make a big difference in someone's day!
This week, our Panthers were challenged to encourage or help a classmate at least once and take a moment to notice how it made them feel. Families can keep the conversation going at home by asking, “How did you help or encourage someone this week?” or “How did it feel to help someone or have someone help you?” Small acts of kindness and teamwork are wonderful ways to put engagement into action at school and beyond!

Inspired by Jimothy’s unique story, students discovered that being different is COOL, and our differences are what make each of us special! Through creativity and conversation, students are learning to embrace what makes them unique, overcome challenges, and celebrate the beauty of being themselves!
